Russian Chicken with Feta Cheese

This was delicious! I was about a quarter cup short on sour cream and doubled the garlic (because I always do), but otherwise followed the recipe. Made double the sauce and poured the extra over some gnocchi. Also used some of the extra sauce as 'gravy' over some egg foo young. This would make a great pasta sauce as well!

Ginger Beef Stir-Fry

Doubled the garlic, upped the veggies a little, and used a tablespoon of hot chili sauce instead of red pepper flakes. This was absolutely delicious! This will be my standard stir-fry recipe from here on out. I think next time I will double the sauce though because I would like to have poured some over the rice.

Mouthwatering Whiskey Grill Glaze

I wasn't paying close enough attention and added beef broth instead of bullion. I just let it boil for a long time and then added a little corn starch to thicken. I still prefer my steak with Chimichurri sauce, but this tastes great if you're looking for something sweet.

Turkey Burger Pie

This was a bit bland--even after spicing up the turkey a bit. Even so, I really liked the idea/construction of this dish and will try it again (but with even more spices). I also added a can of corn between the meat and cheese, this made a nice one-dish meal.

Lemon Drop Martini

I only had lime vodka so this turned out as more of a lime-drop martini...and I loved it! Tried it a second time using lemon juice instead of lime (with the lime vodka) in order to keep the lemon-lime taste--this was also very good (but I liked the all lime one a little better).

Broiled Halibut with Goat Cheese Crust

Substituted orange roughy for the halibut because that's what I had, but the crust and sauce both were excellent! A little heavy on the lemon pepper in the crust for my liking, but my beau loved it as is.

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Following an Indian reviewer's advice, we upped the ginger and garlic (doubled), and added a quarter teaspoon coriander. Also, used ground cashews (whole cashews run through the blender) to thicken instead of cornstarch. This turned out so delicious we are making it again tonight because we just couldn't get enough of it last night!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Not the same as a roast cooked with plenty of fresh herbs and spices, but for what it was, it was very good. Was easy to throw together, but I did have to thicken the gravy at the end.

Mulligatawny Soup I

This was absolutely delicious! We added 1/2 tsp garam masala--this really made the dish--and realized after eating that we forgot to add the cream. Didn't miss it as it was fabulous anyway, but will be sure to try it next time. Oh yes, there will be many a next time with this recipe!

Great flavor. As other reviewers suggested, I cut back on the soy a bit (and used low sodium). Will cut into strips before marinating next time so the flavor can really saturate the meat.

Chinese Pork Chops

Great flavor. I marinated overnight, then grilled on the George Forman. Next time I will cut into strips before marinating so the flavor can really saturate the pork and stir fry.

Chicken Crunch

Added a can of chicken broth and lots of minced garlic. This made tons of sauce, but we served it over egg noodles and the ammount was just perfect. Absolutly delicious! Almost went with breadcrumbs, but I'm really glad I sent the beau to buy some 'buttery round crackers' instead--don't substitute, the crackers made it perfect!

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

These cabbage rolls were good, but quite bland for my tastes. I may use this recipe again as a base, but will find a way to jazz it up a bit. Perhaps a healthy dose of minced garlic and some peas/carrots in the stuffing next time.

Garlic and Onion Burgers

We love this recipe! This is our standard hamburger now and have made it at least half a dozen times. I usually add a couple extra tablespoons of worcestershire though and double up on the garlic as we love the stuff!
