I am originally from a small town in North Louisiana. My husband and I recently moved to California to pursuit his flight career in the Marine Corps. I am a Speech Language Pathologist, but am currently staying home with our little one. I love to cook things we always ate growing up. My mom is the best cook in the world, so I try to replicate her style! I also enjoy trying new recipes because we get tired of eating the same things all the time! Recently I threw a meal together with what I had on hand. After the meal, my husband looked at me and said "That was the best meal you have ever made me." Talk about a good feeling! If that's not a triumph, I don't know what it! I once found a recipe for lasagna. I thought it would be wonderful, but I was wrong. It had NO flavor! That day, I learned that not all recipes in cookbooks are good ones!
