Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
Um...what the HECK?! This is SO freaking good! I can't stop eating these! GAH! =) I made the recipe according to instruction and it was AMAZING. The second time I added an extra tsp of cinnamon and nutmeg like other reviewers, and a dash of nutmeg. So. Freaking. GOOD. AAAH. THANK YOU.

Old Fashioned Pound Cake with Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2008
Mmm! Yummy yummy. The cake came out perfectly - texture, taste, colour, everything. Thank you for sharing! I'm a kid so I can't use liquor, but I boiled some raspberries in sugar and water until it became syrupy, and that tasted fabulous with the cake (which was also great on its own). Delicious!

Heavenly Angel Food Cake

Deeeelicious. As another reviewer said, make sure you measure your eggs, don't go and separate 12, you might not need that many. Otherwise, perfect. Thanks for posting.

Banana Pancakes I

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
As other reviewers have mentioned, this recipe tastes really good, but the inside stays mushy unless you cook them for a while at medium heat. Being hungry in the morning and all, this took a tad too long for me, but still they tasted delicious. I'll probably make this again, but I still want to find a recipe that doesn't take so much time.

Cinnamon Cookies II

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2008
Oh my flippin' god, these cookies are delicious. I made them with a friend - it was so quick and easy and they taste amaaaaazing. We overbaked them a little (you gotta take them out while they're still kind of soft), but a few seconds in the microwave fixed that. Soo delicious. Thanks for posting!

Mocha Sponge Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
A'ight - so, I decided to give this recipe a try despite the horrible reviews, because the only complaints seemed to be about the flavour. I doubled the sugar, and put in more than double the original amount of coffee and cocoa. Everything else I did according to the recipe. It came out nice and spongy and the family liked it, although the recipe only made enough batter to fill one cake pan. Nevertheless, I thought it was tasty and made a good spongy cake, and it wasn't hard the next morning. I'm going to try it again with even more sugar and coffee next time.

Lemon Chiffon Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
Great basic chiffon cake. I made them into cupcakes, and I didn't have cake flour so I used all-purpose flour with a couple tablespoons of cornstarch. I didn't have cream of tartar either so I used lemon juice. Other than that, no changes - they were springy, moist, and yummy even on their own. The volume's great - the first time, I forgot to add baking powder and they were still light and tender. Thanks for sharing!

MMMMM... Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
Simple, quick, and delicious. I baked them in an 8"x10" rectangular dish because I didn't have a square one, for about 25 minutes at 350 degrees C. I also replaced the water with milk. No complaints at all - these are perfect fudgy brownies. Thanks so much for sharing!
