I'm a stay at home mom of two young children. I come from a long line of bad cooks so almost everything I know came from books, the internet and watching Food Network. I love to bake and wish I had more time to spend on new recipes. My specialty is desserts, but I also love to make bread from scratch. Unfortunately since I have two young kids I don't have a lot of time to spend on this. Not burning Thanksgiving dinner! My family is full of bad cooks so I do most of the cooking whenever we get together. It's safer for everyone. The first time I made a pie from scratch, including the crust. I was just a kid, around 10 years old and I was so proud of myself since I did it all from a book. I tried to make my husband's grandmother's Swedish meatballs. To this day I have no idea what I did wrong since I followed her recipe to the letter, but they were horrible!
