Yakisoba Chicken

Quite good! I really shouldn't rate this recipe because I used spaghetti noodles instead of soba... but I guess everyone should know that it still made a tasty, though inauthentic, dish!

My Chili

Finally, a chili recipe that doesn't call for outrageous ingredients! Like other reviewers, I think it's a great starting point. It's easily adjusted to your tastes and what you have on hand. A+

Frosted Banana Bars

This will become my standard banana cake recipe! I delayed adding the sour cream until the end, with the bananas - then I folded in both, gently. The texture of the cake was almost CREAMY when it came out of the oven!

Oh, wow! I have been trying at least one pizza recipe a week for some time now and this is absolutely my favorite recipe so far! The real star of the show is the sesame oil. I used only 1 T. of olive oil whisked with 1 t. sesame oil rather than the full amount - and it was great!

Grandma's Sour Cream Pound Cake

I used 3 T. of lime juice instead of mace for a little bit of tangyness... WOW! I also increased the vanilla to 2 t. and added 1/2 t. of almond extract. Finally, I poured a light citrus glaze over the top. Perfect, perfect! Simple Citrus Glaze: 1 T. soft butter, 1 c. powdered sugar, 1 T. + 1 1/2 t. lime, lemon, or orange juice. Drizzle over hot cake and serve immediately! ***UPDATE: I stirred in 3 large sliced fresh peaches for a beautiful peach pound cake. It was incredibly moist and peachy!

Absolutely decadent. I, too, reduced the confectioner's sugar and chocolate chips to 2 c. each with great success. I've had it with vanilla, orange, raspberry, and lemon flavorings and each one turned out great.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Wow! I followed the changes that SOUTHERNBELLE0908 left in her review - and it turned out so creamy and delicious! I took this to a church gathering and it was the first thing gone. I was lucky to get even one slice. Some notes for first timers: It tasted just great with a sweet shortbread crust. I always think a graham-cracker crust competes with the pie itself. Also, arrange your oven in advance. In the moment of putting my cheesecake into the oven, I discovered that my springform pan was too wide to fit into my 9x13 water bath! I ended up using my biggest metal mixing bowl, which meant I had to heat a lot more water and rearrange my oven racks.
