Country Apple Dumplings

Amazing and easy. Made them sugar free with Splenda a little brown sugar and diet Mnt Dew. As others suggested I added some vanilla to the sugar mixture. Also used reduced fat crecent rolls. I will definately be making this over and over again.

Pasta Primavera with Italian Turkey Sausage

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
This is wonderful and easy!! It does make alot though! I decrease the oil - use just a couple of teaspoons. I use 1/2 regular and 1/2 hot turkey Italian sausage but remove it from the casing and crumble as it cooks. I like it with the red bpepper, use Italian diced tomatoes instead of fresh and add about 1 cup of chicken broth in the final 5 minutes to make it a little saucy...also - add a bit more cheese and extra FRESH basil! Even better the next day.

My Mom's Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
This was excellent. I did a whole chicken without skin...the thighs and legs were OK but I agree with other raters that bonless skinless breasts would be much easier and that was everyone's favorite. I do think the wine is a must but the butter could be less or even eliminated...I will try that next time. Also, I just used cooking spray on the pan instead of oil. Great recipe terrific flavor.

Rotisserie Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
I have used this method to cook a couple of chickens now. I brined the chicken first so did not use the baste here but used everyone's suggestions on drip pan with beer...etc...BUT last night the drip pan liquid evaporated...caught fire and the bird caught fire!! ugh! We went out, bought a new chicken so this time I used the baste here and it was great! Did use less salt (and made sure we kept liquid in the drip pan!!!)

Portuguese Sweet Bread I

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
Wow - this was great. This is much fresher and denser than store bought. I have never made bread before and it was so easy! I took the advice to use 1/2 cup sugar and add the extra egg yolk. I don't have a bread maker but the kitchen aid worked fine.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
This was excellent. I took the suggestion and put 1/2 of the sauce on before the top curst and this made working with the lattice a little sticky! Also - I made the sauce too early and it did set up a little. I will be making this for Thanksgiving next week! Great pie and easy to make.

Aunt Shirley's Dietetic Pie

My husband is diabetic and he loved this (he didn't know it was sugar free!) It turned out perfect! Juicy but not runny and perfectly sweet (I only used 12 sweetner packets because my apples were really sweet!) Thanks for sharing!
