Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
This is such a simple recipe and absolutely terrific! I made some of the same changes as everyone else; used crisco and didn't bother with the vanilla - oh my! I've never worked with fondant before this and now that I've found this recipe which is super economical and devine as far as taste goes, I'll be using it from now on! Everyone raved about the taste and the look, and it was so easy to work with. I highly, highly recommend this recipe to anyone who is wanting to get into working with fondant but has been intimidated by it until now. Try this! You will love it!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
This is by far the best crisp recipe I have tried yet; the right amount of everything, but I did add a teaspoon of nutmeg; so yummy! Goes perfect with vanilla ice cream. Thanks Diane - this one is going in the "Family Faves" box for sure!

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2009
This is one of the best desserts ever. So simple, and so decadent. VERY rich, so small pieces are fine though. Mmmmm, I'm going to have to go make this again! Now!

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
So quick and easy. Would definitely make this again and again. We love cabbage rolls but often don't have the time for all the work related to them. This is the perfect fix for that problem. The only things I added were some green pepper, a bit of celery salt and a layer of shredded marble cheese on top added just before serving. Yum!

Good Cookies I

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
My youngest daughter and I tried these on a whim today because we wanted something sweet, looked in the cupboard, and found only a package of coconut to work with! Lucky for us because these are wonderful - nice and soft but with a bit of crunch. I did make a confectioner sugar icing and topped it with toasted coconut, which the recipe does not call for, but added so much. This is a great recipe, especially if you are looking for something just a little different.

Harvested Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
This was so quick and easy to make - like other posters, I changed the vegies a bit, added some cabbage, omitted the peas and zuchini, thickened the sauce a little and served it with rice; my kids gobbled this up and asked for more - wonderful quick dish for a cold winter night!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
I made this for my daughter's 17th birthday becauese she wanted "the chocolateiest cake ever!" I would have to agree - I iced the cake with a not-so-sweet ganache and it was absolutely fantastic. Super moist and flavorful, simple and easy! Kudos! This recipe rocks!

Scalloped Corn

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
I've tried several recipes for scalloped corn and none compare to this - it is such an interesting and utterly successful combination of scalloped corn and corn bread. I made this for Thanksgiving and my family absolutely adored it - it was the first of the "left-overs" to run out. I'll definitely be making this again . . . and again. . . and again. . .
