Cucumber and Avocado Sushi
This is a good recipe for a basic sushi. Including avocado and cucumber as a starting point, we also added a thin slice of omlette, crab meat, and roasted bell peppers. In another roll, we put tuna, supremed oranges and blanched asparagus spears. In yet another roll, we put pickled beets and goat cheese. You can do just about anything with sushi.

Mulligatawny Soup II
Although this is a tasty soup, it was just a little disappointing. I found it a bit too creamy for my taste and had to double the amount of lemon juice. I also added chili flakes to help increase the heat and used two fresh tomatoes instead of tomato paste. The soup was quite filling (a little goes a long way), especially if you eat it with a nice slice of toasted rye rubbed with garlic and fresh tomatoes. A crisp green salad would make this a complete and satisfying meal.

Tabbouleh II
A very nice salad. I added some sweet corn fresh off the cob for a contrast to the tartness of the lemon, with great success. I also used green onions instead of regular white onions. In another batch, I added some toasted pine nuts and reduced the lemon, again with success. Of these two versions, I prefer the first.
