Beef Tips and Noodles

very good, but changed a few things after reading a lot of reviews: decreased temp to 300 deg, cooked for 2 hrs used 1 can beef broth in place of water used 1 can golden mushroom soup added on package beef gravy(dry mix) mixed all ingredients, poured over meat, mixed well, and covered. meat was very tender this way, and we served it over rice and we had plenty of gravy this way...My daughter loved it!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

YUM! That's about all I need to say...only thing I didn't add was celery (didn't have any), and salt. I'm glad I didn't add the salt cause with the ham and bouillon was fine. topped with cheese and green onion!

This was good...not great. Very easy to make, and you can play around with it enough to make it fit yor taste. I would make this again, but it just needs more flavor to make it great...

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

This was my first attempt at making cole slaw. It was really easy to make, but too sweet...I would recommend using half the amount of sugar...I just added a little extra mayo and vinegar to make up for the sweetness. Very good recipe though! Just cut back on the sugar!!

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

I needed a quick and easy potluck recipe, and came across these...YUM!! They were the first thing gone, and everyone asked for the recipe! I assembled them the night before, and sprinkled brown sugar on in the morning. I used toothpicks to make it easier for serving. It is a little time consuming wrapping them, but they are so good! I made more tonight for my family, and there are only a few left. Even my super picky daughter ate them up! I didn't measure the brown sugar, but I used more than 3/4 cup, OH...I also used maple bacon for extra flavor...Thanks for a great keeper!!!

Banana Pudding IV

This was my first time making banana pudding, and this recipe is great!! I read through a lot of reviews first, and did the following... I beat together the cream cheese, and 1/2 can sweetened condensed milk, then added 1 small box vanilla pudding mix, 1 small box banana cream pudding mix, 2 cups milk, and cool whip. I used the mini vanilla wafers. I layered them on the bottom, 2 sliced bananas, pudding mixture, more cool whip, and topped with mini wafers. So cute!! YUM!! This was gone in no time!! Will make again. Thanks for a great recipe!

Pretzel Turtles

Ok, so I've made these twice in the past couple of weeks...YUM!! I did as others suggested and roasted the pecans with melted butter for about 10 mins...this is a must!! It really makes a difference in the flavor! Line your cookie sheet with foil, and carefully press the pecans in the pretzels because all the caramel will ooze out the back and make it difficult to remove them once cooled. Put in fridge for at least 30 mins...they are hard to chew when really cold, but taste wonderful when let set out a while at room temp. These last about a day in my house!!

Not sure what happened with this, but we did not like this recipe. Not a lot of flavor, even after marinating for 2 1/2 hrs. Thankfully I made wonderful tzatziki sauce also on this site, since this is the only way we ate it. Sorry, but I won't make this again

Yia Yia's Tzatziki Sauce

Yum! I just got finished making this and it is so yummy! I used plain yogurt because our store only sells Greek yogurt in the HUGE container!! I followed the advice of others and drained the yogurt in coffee filters to get rid of the liquid. I also seeded the cucumbers, and grated them into coffee filters to drain- worked great!! My sauce is nice and thick! I am serving with Soulvaki also from this site. Thanks for a great authentic recipe that tastes wonderful!!

Dave's Low Country Boil

This is a great recipe...We used 4 packages old bay season packs, next time will use 6 because we also had to add dry seasoning to the pot for more flavor. We used 2 pkg. smoked sauseage, and 1 pkg. jalapeno sausage, 5lbs new potatoes, 12 ears corn, and 6lbs shrimp. It was pretty good, but next time will add more seasoning...Great recipe though. This fed 5 kids, and 4 adults with not much leftovers!!

Weekend Brunch Casserole

YUMMY!! I read a lot of reviews before making this and came up with the following: I cooked sausage and allowed to sit on paper towels to soak up the grease. sprayed the dish with cooking spray, cooked the cresent "crust" for 7 mins. Used 8 eggs, combined sausage and eggs in skillet, cooked about 3 mins stirring constantly, just to allow them to set up a little.(others had mentioned the eggs not cooking well in the oven) poured over cresent topped with shredded colby jack cheese. Baked @375 for 20 mins. This turned out PERFECT!! Allowing the eggs to cook on the stove for a few mins is important because the crust doesn't get soggy and the eggs are cooked completely without the crust burning!! Thanks for a great recipe!!

Shepherd's Pie VI

This recipes is very good. I read through the reviews first and decided on the following: Cooked ground turkey in a skillet, added 1 diced carrot, 4oz corn, 4oz can of mushrooms, sauteed all. Then added 2T flour, 1 packet beef gravy, 2T ketchup, 2T worchestershire, and 1 cup beef broth. I allowed this to simmer 10 mins or so. I used boxed potatoes. Poured beef mixture in baking dish topped with potatoes and covered with shredded colby jack cheese. YUMMY! With all of the extra added to beef mixture it was very flavorful. My 9 year old ate it, so it's a keeper!! Thanks!! Oh, The flour is a must, so the beef mixture stays firm and not runny!!

We did not care for this recipe. Sorry! We found it just hot and not full of flavor. It was a little runny also. I did cook the rice seperately and mix it in the end, but the flavor was just not there.

Easy OREO Truffles

YUMMY!! These are delicious, but you have to be a chocolate lover because these are so rich!! I did have with white chocolate, and half with semi-sweet. I melted my chocolate in the microwave- very easy, just 50% power and stir about every 30 secs. Also, put the oreo balls in the freezer while you melt the chocolate or you'll have melted oreo balls!! I bended all the oreos in the food processor first, then added the softened cream cheese. Very good!!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

I was very reluctent to try this recipe because we don't normally like "pot pies". We ALL loved it, even my super picky 9 year old daughter ate every bite veggies and all!! I did take to advise of others and added the following: cooked the chicken and veggies in chicken broth, added 1/4 tsp poultry seasoning and 1/4 tsp garlic powder, I decided to cook the gravy alone without the veggies. I mixed the chicken, veggies, and gravy together, I also used pillsbury ready crust, so easy!! Baked the bottom crust for 10 mins @ 425. I added all ingredients, topped with crust and baked for 35 mins @425. Letting the pie sit for 15 mins before cutting it is a must!! I had to cut my husband a piece early, and it fell apart, but by the time my daughter and I ate it, it was perfect!!
