About this Cook
I never thought I liked cooking until I started making family dinners. Now I love it. There is something exciting about trying new recipes and watching how they come out and it's rewarding to see family and friends enjoy what you've made.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook traditional home cooking types of food and bake goodies. I have really been into Irish dishes lately.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas cookie baking day! Usually a 15 hour baking extravaganza with my sister. We have been known to get slap happy towards the end, but the cookies are always delish!
My cooking triumphs
Recently made a potato soup that my family loved! They said it was better than any they ever had!
My cooking tragedies
Oh, lordy... I once made an angel food cake without realizing how much the batter expands while baking... It was unreal, like a volcano. Still sorta tasty though :)

Jo's Rosemary Bread
This was a great bread! Very tasty. It went nicely with a beef stew that I had made. It was a hit!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
This was delicious!!! I used a less expensive cut of pork and de boned it after draining. It was excellent. A perfect side dish for this one is sweet potato fries.... mmmm mmm mmm.
