About this Cook
Usually, I teach elementary school in a Lancaster, PA school district. However, my husband and I just recently relocated (temporarily) to Milwaukee, WI for a project that my husband is working on for his company. This means that I now have more free time to experiment in the kitchen and try new things!
My favorite things to cook
I love using my slow cooker, because it easy and quick for week night dinners. I've never made a slow cooker recipe that I didn't like! It's almost fool-proof!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Homemade salsa. We grow our own peppers and can our own salsa every fall using other vegetables from a local farmers' market. It is a lot of work, but it is worth it. We then have a yearly supply ahead of us! :D
My cooking tragedies
They happen.

Cajun Chicken Pasta
This is by far the best recipe I have made from this site. I've been making it both for week-night dinners, as well as for weekend guests! The flavor is excellent. The only thing I change is the amount of sauce. I usually double it, because my family likes extra. Excellent dish!

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms
My husband (who usually hates mushrooms!) and I LOVED this recipe! Very quick and easy to prepare (even on a week-night)! I definitely plan to use this recipe again and again and will double or even triple for larger crowds!

Libby's(R) Pumpkin Roll with Cream Cheese Filling
The first one I made DID NOT turn out at all. It broke apart and became a complete mess. The second and third and fourth ones were a complete success! This is a wonderful treat for autumn mornings. I made it for Thanksgiving morning as a pre-Thanksgiving brunch. Everyone loved it!
