I am a free spirited person trapped in a workaholic's body. I like to make people happy with what I make.One day I would like to get into preserving my own fruit and vegetables.I think it is sometimes hard,but we need to get back to basics and stop buying so much highly refined processed junk!
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook everything and try atleast everything once. Though I dislike custard,rhubarb,oysters and canned creamed rice pudding.
My specialties are probably cakes and muffins.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sitting around the wood fire heater all taking turns to stir the pot of real pea and ham soup so it doesnt burn at the bottom of the pot.Pots of hot water under bowls of chocolate for melting to make handmade chocolates.
Every year at Christmas we always have Fruit salad in honour of our beautiful grandmother who passed away in 1989 from a long battle from cancer.
