About this Cook
I am from a small Texas town. I enjoy reading, gaming (both tabletop and computer), music, and movies. I love corny comedies, Depeche Mode, Warcraft, and Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. I currently own a bookstore in Stephenville.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook breads and chicken. Also, I enjoy just about any kind of garlic recipe (I can never have enough!)
My favorite family cooking traditions
For many years, my family would all help with Thanksgiving dinner. I have very fond memories of making homemade cornbread stuffing with them.
My cooking triumphs
My best cooking has most likely been my homemade dinner rolls and barbequed garlic chicken.
My cooking tragedies
The black forest cake I made. The cake itself was delicious, but the icing was way too sweet (like instant insulin shock kind of sweet), and I put the icing on before the cake had completely cooled, therefore causing a lumpy ugly cake. Also, I had a disastrous experiment with a spaghetti recipe. My dog wouldn't eat it!

Fried Pork Chop
These came out alright. The meat was very moist and tender, but it was just very bland. I may try this again with more spices. A dash of cayenne pepper and garlic might make these perfect!

Holiday ONLY Mashed Potatoes
These were great! I added a little garlic powder and rosemary. Came out very delicious!

Garlic Butter
I liked this recipe, but would have preferred mozzarella to parmesan cheese. I will also add more garlic next time (not that it wasn't enough, I just love garlic!). I plan on trying this again with my own tweaks.
