This is a great recipe. I have made it several times and it's alway a hit. Over time I found that to make it really smashing you must use baby bella mushrooms in addition or instead of regular mushrooms, and use a little bit of cornstarch to thicken that delicious wine sauce.

THE SAUCE IS GREAT!! I MADE THIS RECIPE TWICE. THE SECOND TIME I REDUCED THE SUGAR BY A QUARTER, I CUT UP THE CHICKEN BREASTS INTO SMALLER PIECES AND POURED THE SAUCE OVER THEM. COVERED AND BAKED 30 MIN. UNCOVERED STIRRED AND BAKED AN ADDITIONAL 20 MINUTES. MY HUSBAND WHO IS THE EXPERT CHEF AND VERY HARD TO IMPRESS LOVED IT!! THANK YOU!
