About this Cook
I am a college-student, so my only times to really cook and bake and try out recipes are during the summertime. I'm less a cook than a baker. My family is my guinea pig: I'm thankful to my family for their willingness to taste-try all my baked results. I also enjoy playing piano and tennis and volleyball. I'm not a outdoorsy person, but I enjoy walks in the park.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake desserts. I am a sweets-lover, so I love to make cakes, cookies, tarts. I love to make birthday cakes for friends and family.
My cooking triumphs
Moist carrot cake, perfect chocolate cake, strawberry shortcakes, lemon bars, marinated bbq shrimp, gooey, soft chocolate chip cookies, stuffed mushrooms, fruit tarts, dirt cups for kids at church
My cooking tragedies
Cupcakes without flour turned out to be a major flop, so did pumpkin bread with too little sugar. I remember messing up chocolate chip cookies all the time before finding the perfect recipe for them. My attempts at cheesecake have always ended with cakes with earthquake-like cracks.

Curried Coconut Chicken
fantastic recipe! I made a few modifications- I used 1 pound of chicken and added chunks of red potatoes. the recipe was really easy, which is important to me. I simmered the curry for an hour uncovered, and the curry thickened quite nicely! Thanks!
