Swedish Cream with Summer Berries

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
I made this in the morning so it could chill. Then I used it as a sauce for a berry trifle with frozen pound cake and chilled it until dessert time. It was fabulous and a huge hit with our guests

Spinach Lentil Soup

This is a very good basic recipe. I substituted kale for the spinach, used brown rice and eliminated the sausage this time as we're trying to eat more meatless dinners. It was a big hit! Thanks.

Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2006
Wonderful! Served it to overnight guests this weekend on the patio and my neigbor called later to get the recipe because he could smell the aroma! I added more blueberries, 1 tsp vanilla, pinch of salt and grated the rind of one orange into the egg mixture. Thanks Robin!

Penne with Chicken and Pesto

Well I am the person who submitted this recipe. I love all the hints and I am going to make the Al Fredo version with broccoli this week. Thanks! Mary p.s. In my opinion even just 2 tablespoons of cream gives any cream dish that 'on the tongue' feel that milk or half & half can't do.

Snickerdoodle Mix in a Jar

Fantastic! Thanks Diane. Made these for the usually finicky grandkids and they gobbled them up quickly! I bake all cookies on parchment to prevent the sticking another reviewer mentioned.

Black Bean and Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2005
Made this yesterday with ingredients I had on hand. Substitutions were kidney beans and lemon. I didn't have cilantro or corn. The dressing was perfect. Salt cuts the acidity. Delicious! Thanks Paula.

Chicken Broccoli Ca - Unieng's Style

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2005
Loved this! I had fish sauce on hand so I used that instead of oyster sauce and I substitued sliced red bell pepper for the broccoli. I also added sliced water chestnuts. This recipe will be very adaptable to whatever ingredients I have in my pantry.

I reviewed this recipe several years ago but I have to say this has become a mainstay in our dining repertoire for it's ease in making, cleaning up after, low fat and delicious flavor. Thanks Lola!
