About this Cook
I enjoy baking miniature desserts and creating menus for afternoon tea. I would like to write a cookbook someday.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake French Pastries, cook Southern food (go Paula Deen!), and bake all types of desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to bake with my kids. They put on their aprons, turn on some spunky french cafe' music and just have fun.
My cooking triumphs
My recipe for fried okra was featured in Southern Living Magazine along with the picture, and this recipe was also published in one of Southern Living's books called "Best Kept Secrets of the South's Best Cooks" as well as their year end cookbook.
My cooking tragedies
One Thanksgiving, I baked goose instead of turkey, and let's just say we enjoyed the side dishes that year!

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies
These were terrific! I added 1/4 cup more flour and peanut butter, but other than that went right by the recipe. They turned out just a bit crisp but still tender. I could'nt wait the hour in the frig so I did 20 minutes in the freezer and they turned out great! Thanks for the recipe!

Praline Brownies
I got this recipe from Chef2Chef exactly as written, tried it and got nothing but a gooey mess. Maybe the idea behind the recipe is a sort of upside down blondie. I wonder if baking powder/soda would help?
