MAT in French student. Most of what I learned to cook came from a little French lady while I was living in France. I can't remember the recipes that well, but I learned how to tell when things look right. I really love to make muffins and chicken parmesan bc I get the best reviews for them. Christmas cookies the first time i made chicken parmesan and my bf (the one who usually cooks) ask me to make it again burning things in France and having Mme yell "Ils brulent! Ils brulent!" a lot at me.
