I had a large package of hot dogs to use and was trying to find a creative way to prepare them. I made this at a dinner party and they turned out dry, but were at hit at the party because it was so absurd. Everyone tried one, and got a really good laugh, but no one said they were good. I have a feeling that if they are requested again it will be for the comedic satisfaction and not because they were very appetizing.

I had a dinner party and I could barely get them onto the serving plate before my brother ate most of them. I did change a few things, but this is a very versatile recipe idea. I grated the pepperoni and added a little ricotta cheese so that when it was rolled up the cheese was in the center. I also made a vegetarian version with spinach and ricotta as well as the mozzarella in the center. I wish I made more! They were gone before most of the guests even arrived...

I made this for a dinner party and it was great! I changed just a few things by following some of the older reviews. I put chopped broccoli with the mushrooms instead of carrots, and I used half bertoli alfredo and half jarred alfredo so save some money. I also but some garlic butter in the alfredo sauce to give it more flavor and I excluded the milk because I wanted it to be thicker. I made it for my vegitarian friends and my boyfriend who usually shys away from anything green, really enjoyed it. Thanks for the great idea!
