About this Cook
I'm great with desserts, but pretty unimaginitive when it comes to meal-making. I hope to change this ;)
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, cakes, muffins, blondies and brownies!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother can take anything and turn it into mexican food. I love that!
My cooking triumphs
They're few and far between. . . I do make a great spiced wine though.
My cooking tragedies
Pretty much every time i attempt to cook meat.

Graham Streusel Coffee Cake
Fantastic and easy! I found some gingerbread graham crackers at the grocery store that no one in my household (including me) liked. I crumbled these up and used them so they wouldn't go to waste, and it turned out to be a great holiday treat! The sweetness of the cake and streusel took some of the 'bite' out of the gingerbread and complemented the cinnamon wonderfully. I took it to work, and it was gone before all my co workers could arrive.

Apple Spice Syrup
This is a great syrup! I don't like maple flavoured anything (or the flavoured high-fructose-corn-syrup varieties of syrup found in supermarkets), so this was a nice find. Thank you :)

Banana Wheat Bread
This bread turned out fantastically! I substituted 1/2 cup of applesauce for the oil and threw in 1/4 cup dried figs. I also added 1 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp nutmeg. I was a little worried about grittiness from the fig seeds, but the heartiness of the wheat made them barely noticable :) I may use another banana next time, just for some extra banananess (i used four). I'm taking a loaf to work tomorrow for my co workers, i just know they'll love it!
