we used puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares and put the squares in muffin tins to make our own shells. we also used brown sugar instead of white.

yuck. the pancake didn't rise, tasted blah, even though i added cinnamon and vanilla. it was tough and bland.

i followed the recipe exactly, except for 1 tsp vanilla and no almond extract (i was out). they turned out yummy. i don't even like sugar cookies, but these i love. they are sweet and vanilla-y with a hint of cream cheese. they also rolled out very well. i used cutters for the first roll out and then balled the scraps and pressed a pecan half into the middle. YUM! i wouldn't change a thing, just make sure you chill the dough, that's essential.
