Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
These are WAAAAYYYYY better then regular banana bread!! I added some cinnamon to the batter and used canola oil instead of butter like most reviews had suggested. NOTE: Just keep on the counter. Good for up to 3 days. (When i put them into ziplock bag, they got kinda slimy on top.) Also keeping it on the counter allows the crumbs on top to stay crunchy... I will use this recipe over and over again.

Garlic Mashed Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
This was the third recipe I tried, and this one was the best. I did just as the recipe said, only I didn't add the parm cheese. Oh, I did add a pinch of garlic powder with the s&p. Make sure you use real butter.

Broccoli Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
I must say I was worried when reading reviews about it being bland, but this was great! I changed only two things. I used milk instead of water and used Velveeta cheese. Is also good with cauliflower! I will be making this again soon.

Chicken Rotini Stovetop Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
This is reminded me of an alfredo sauce with chicken and peppers. Also, you can prepare this in two pans, not four! One for the Rotini, and one for everything else. Gives it more flavor that way. The only thing i changed is i added salt and pepper to the chicken while it cooked and some freah chopped garlic tossed in with the bell peppers. I expected more flavor out of it tho.. and more parm cheese would only make it taste more like alfredo..

Zucchini Pineapple Bread I

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
This is wonderful. I used 'no sugar added' applesauce instead of oil like suggested.. also i use fresh pineapple, with the help of my food processor. Next time i believe i will toss about 1 cup of the zucchini in the processor and keep the other cup grated, for texture purposes.. also i do think maybe a little bit of brown sugar would have been a nice touch of flavor.. and maybe only one teasp of vanilla extract.. EDIT- im sorry i had to change my review. The bread was good.. yes, but only within the first few hours, then it got rubbery...

Leslie's Salty Grilled Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
well, like suggested, i baked the potatoes in the microwave to help speed up the cooking time, and i feel it just made the skin too chewy.. but the flavor was wonderful.. (i didnt use exact amounts as listed, but used same seasonings)

Angela's Easy Breaded Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2009
It was excellent! I marinated it in the dressing for about 2 hours b4 cooking and i raised the temp to 400 degrees as mentioned, still came out a lil soggy, but that could have been my error with greasing the pan. I also added a lil garlic powder, pepper, and Italian seasoning to the bread crumbs to add a lil flavor. I will make this again!

Seven Layer Tex Mex Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
This was great! I LOVED the way the taco seasoning and the sour cream tasted together.(I DIDNT use the whole package of taco seasoning tho. Just enough to add color and the flavor was bold.) That is what made the dish. I warmed up the beans with a little milk and shredded cheese, so it wasnt so thick.

It was very good. Might even work if you cut it up and put in a tortilla with some toppings like letuce or cheese w/ sour cream! Im going to try that next time.

The hubby liked it, and even asked me to save it for leftovers! (i had alot!) I felt it was a little mushy. I suggest not wetting the bread down like stated. Just use one can of chicken broth. I will not make this next year.

Graham Cracker Crust I

excellent and easy. I bought the already crushed gram crackers so i didn't have to crush them myself, and it worked wonderfully! I was afraid the center would be soggy, but it wasnt! also-make sure to put it in the fridge for about an hour. It helped alot!
