About this Cook
My neighbor and I are working on getting or own reality TV show! So far we have a couple channels interested in us! And im the chef on the show!!! OMG ::crossing fingers!!""I have been cooking since I was about 8 years old. As soon as I could look into the pot without a stool!! I didn't really start experimenting until I got engaged(married in '07). Now when I cook I usually don't measure, I just add a bit this and that. Taste it and add more if need be. One thing about my cooking is it has lots of flavor. I love making up my own stuff and/or changing stuff all the time and my husband absolutely loves it! I like any recipe with lots of chopping, I am in love with my chef's knife! I also plan on making a cook book of my recipes with photo's and give them to my daughters and hope they bring the joy of great food to their homes.
My favorite things to cook
Italian and Mexican. My husband says my spicy pasta dishes I create are my specialty. I also like to experiment with my slow cooker.
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving dinners! We all know how hard that meal is to prepare. Although, I would have to say that the chicken chili i made from scratch without a recipe was the best!! --I made chili for about 60 people at a recent party we catered to, and most people went back for thirds!! One lady even went as far as saying it was the best chili she's ever had! WOOT!
My cooking tragedies
::sigh:: Cheddar and broccoli soup.... Also, I cant bake.... even if my life depended on it! ;)

Banana Crumb Muffins
These are WAAAAYYYYY better then regular banana bread!! I added some cinnamon to the batter and used canola oil instead of butter like most reviews had suggested. NOTE: Just keep on the counter. Good for up to 3 days. (When i put them into ziplock bag, they got kinda slimy on top.) Also keeping it on the counter allows the crumbs on top to stay crunchy... I will use this recipe over and over again.

Garlic Mashed Red Potatoes
This was the third recipe I tried, and this one was the best. I did just as the recipe said, only I didn't add the parm cheese. Oh, I did add a pinch of garlic powder with the s&p. Make sure you use real butter.
