About this Cook
I am a mother of 2 kids, 5 yo daughter and 4 yo son. They are the pickiest eaters and I am always trying new and different recipes with them. (Haven't had a whole lot of luck! They are pretty stubborn!) My husband is really open to different meal ideas which is very helpful. He loves to grill outside and I am more of the baker.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake cookies, cakes, brownies and anything sweet. I also love to make things in the slow cooker, especially with the winters we have around here.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family doesn't really have any traditions except the traditional holiday meals. We do an annual Christmas party and I try out all my baking "triumhs" out then and get some real feedback! It has been very helpful.
My cooking triumphs
I've had my ups and downs but I think my best triumph was my homemade apple pie I made this thanksgiving. I did it all from scratch and it came out great!
My cooking tragedies
To many to tell.

Easy No-Boil Macaroni and Cheese
If you want this to be creamier and cheesier, then add more water and cheese to your liking. this will be drier since it is a baked cafeteria style mac and cheese, not creamy like the boxed kind!

Sweet Banana Bread
I made this recipe into muffins and mini muffins for my kids to snack on. My son loves bananas and I had 3 left so I decided to try this out. This turned out sooo good. My kids devoured them! I only had instant vanilla pudding on hand and it worked out prefectly. They came out so moist and almost cupcake like. They went fast and now I have to get more bananas to make more for their lunches.
