I am a musician that likes to dabble in cooking on occasion. I am pretty good at a few dishes, but I am trying to expand that a bit more. Comfort foods that I grew up with, usually with my own spin; desserts...anything really. My family is all about the classic comfort foods: Mac and cheese, beef stew, bean soup, etc...they don't leave their comfort zone much, so I am also making them try new things when I visit. My husband used to live in Brasil and I made him some food from there once as a surprise. I found all of the recipes online, and he told me it tasted just like the food he ate there. I was pretty proud. My husband and I tried to make homemade soft pretzels once....they were hard and not edible. But it was pretty funny.
