I used only the "homemade" self-rising flour and did not add in the addtional baking powder or salt, or the herbs. I used 12 oz. of ginger ale in place of the beer, which gave this a bit of a sweeter flavor. My picky 7 year old said, "Mom, I LOVE this bread!" and ate 2 pieces with his dinner and another with lunch today. Try it with soda, it's yummy!
