About this Cook
My cooking tragedies
Cannot make a pie crust. I had to give that job to my husband or buy premade which I don't like. I don't seem to be very consistent with rice either.

Spinach Lentil Soup
I like this soup but think it needs a little something more. I did not have sausage so made it with beef broth and that might be why it was a little bland. I added extra vegetables such as broccoli which I think I would do again. I will also add extra spices like some others suggested.

Pork Tenderloin with a Honey Grape Sauce
I agree with the comments about 5 spice pdr. Leave it out if you don't like it but if you do, this is a delicious recipe just as it is. I used green grapes that were past their prime. It is a great way to use up grapes that aren't crisp anymore. The pork and sauce are very good together. This is a "make again" according to my family.

Prize Winning Baby Back Ribs
Even though I had a terrible slab of ribs (spare ribs) I followed the recipe anyway. Good hint about removing the membrane. I cooked the ribs for 1 1/2 hours and I did it side by side method where you turn the heat on one side of the grill but put your meat on the other. One advantage to having poor meat is that I decided to not lift the lid at all and if they burnt, we would have soup. They came out exceptionally tender and good. Also I followed the spice exactly and found it to be delicious, not too much cumin for us.
