Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2009
This is the best and easiest way to make your italian sausage. Made it for 4th of July celebration and everyone loved it. The grease sits on top so a few times I skimmed it off. I will make this my standard recipe for cooking sausage.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
Made this tonight for dinner and it was delicious! Very moist and will make it again. I made the meatloaf and placed the brown sugar glaze on top. I did not add the ginger as I do not care for the taste of it. Truly a great comfort food meal with mashed potatoes.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
I was a little hesitant to make this since it had so many ingredients but I never made chili before and had such a taste for it. It is delicious and I will make again. I did add the beer (which I was hesitant to do since hubby does not like the taste of it) and we could not even taste it. Truly delicious!

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
This is so delicious you have to try it. I made the batter earlier in the day and then refrigerated. After dinner I just filled large cupcake wrappers and placed them in the oven for 10 minutes. Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Just outstanding! I did not have any chocolate other than toll house chocolate chips and they worked just fine.

Jen's Jambalaya

I made this today and followed the recipe exactly. While it was ok it is does not really taste like Jambalaya. Overall I was pretty disappointed.

Cajun Crawfish and Shrimp Etouffe

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
I made this according to the recipe. The only change I made was using clam juice rather than the fish stock since I could not find that. I was hesitant due to clam juice but this was delicious. I also did not add any seasoning other than the seafood seasoning. It was hot enough with just that. Everyone loved it and I will be making again.

I would give this a million stars if I could. It was delicious and people just raved!!!!! I have already been asked to make it for another party. The only change I made was I doubled the coffee like others mentioned.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
I made this tonight. I used a 2.5 lb chuck roast since it is only 2 adults and a toddler. I replaced the water with 1 can of beef broth but I still used the same amount of soup and onion soup. It made a lot of gravy but it was very good. I will make this again.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
I made this for the second time tonight. Love this recipe!!! The only changes I made was I used real bacon and before placing the chicken in the oven I sliced them and put both the sauce and ranch dressing inside. The firs time we felt like all the flavor was just resting on the top. The change made all the difference.

I made these this past weekend and they were by far the best cookie I have ever made. I was a little unsure at first but I cannot rave enough.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
Made this for Thanksgiving and it was a hit! I followed the instructions exactly. Next time I would pour some of the syrup in the pie before the lattice top and then the rest over it. It was a mess but that is what most raved about - the delicious top. This is a new Thanks giving in our house! Thanks!

Blue Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
This is such a great recipe!!! I decided to make it for Thanksgiving - I doubled the recipe, added the extra sugar as others recommended and only used a little cinnamon. I gave half to my neighbor and took the rest to my mother-in-laws. All I can say is there was none left at our dinner and my neighbor called to say they were scraping the bowl. This is a new Thanksgiving recipe for our family! Thanks!

Pesto Chicken Florentine

This was so delicious!!! I took the advice of others and used a jar of alfredo sauce. I also purchased a small container of pesto in the refrigerated section. I used a lot of garlic!!! It was delicious and we even loved the leftovers. I will make this again!

Root Beer Float Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2007
I made this cake yesterday intending on taking it to my parent's house today for my dad's birthday. I followed the instructions exactly but I did make a double batch of the glaze. I could not find the extract so I omitted. I was sooo disappointed. I can live with it not tasting too "root beery" as some reviewers stated. But it just did not taste good. It was overly sweet and "wet" - not moist - wet like something was spilled on it. I ended up throwing it out. Needless to say I still appreciate the recipe as that is what this site is for me - the ability to try new and different recipes.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
I made this last night and we really enjoyed it. We will make this again and again! I followed the other reviews and added chicken broth instead of water. When it came to adding the biscuits I used 1 1/4 packages. It was too much and absorbed the majority of the broth. Next time I would only use 3/4 of 1 package. I also shredded the chicken before putting the biscuits on top. I served along with noodles and corn on the cob. If you do not have a lot of time to cook this is an excellent meal to prepare for your family.

Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2007
I made these over the weekend and the sauce is outstanding. I followed the recipe exactly. For those wondering about baking vs boiling - I cooked just as the recipe states and the meat was literally falling off the bone. I covered them with some of the sauce and let them sit for an hour. Then onto the grill. I will make the sauce again and use it on chicken and pork too. It is really that delicious. As a side, I really never cared for the taste of rum and was a little hesitant but it truly is worth the try - You will not be sorry!

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2007
I baked this bread yesterday and it was delicious. The first time I always follow the directions exactly and the only change I would make is adding less cinnamon as someone else stated. It is still good but was a little too much for us. I used three loaf pans rather than the mini pans. They came out perfect and are so moist. I will make this THE zucchini bread recipe in my home.
