Easy Mexican Casserole

Wow. This is good. I added 2 cups of cracker crumbs to the chips for the crust. It made a big difference in sogginess. I also added extra cheese and skipped the sour cream . It was great!

Delicious! My husband has been a Philly fan since he lived in PA as a child. This is so close to authentic!

Yum! I added cinnamon, sugar and vanilla and it turned out great! None of us had tried Dutch babies before, but we all enjoyed it. A much easier pancake to make!

One Bowl Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
Delish! Not the best fudge I've ever had, but definitely a no-fail, no-prep version. It tastes good and you could mix it up by adding various nuts or changing the type of chips- milk chocolate works great!

Stuffed French Toast II

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2007
I REALLY tweaked this... I used thick slices of French bread, cut slits in them and stuffed them with strawberry cream cheese. They were excellent! Also, if you plan to make them with thick bread, it works better if you brush the egg mixture on each side of the bread instead of dunking it- it cooks better.

Claire's Yummy Crepes

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2007
This recipe is waaaay off! I followed it to a T and it did not work. I had to triple the recipe to feed 4 people, plus the batter was soooo thick it wouldn't move in the pan. I added about a cup of water to my triple batch and it was almost thin enough to be crepes. The end result was tasty, but the recipe needs tweaking.

Oven Fried Chicken III

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I cooked this on crinkled foil but it still came out slightly soggy. I'm a big crispy skin fan so that was a turn off for me. The flavor was good, but the consistency was not that of fried chicken.

Chicken and Turkey Marinade

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I made this for my Thanksgiving turkey using all dried herbs. It was awesome! It had a very Italian flavor and was totally the most moist whole turkey I've ever eaten! I poured the marinade out and just cooked the bird in an oven bag without basting. This was so much easier and it came out beautifully. The drippings made a delicious gravy too!

Pesto Tomatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
The flavor was good but these had a sort of weird texture. The tomatoes get a little mushy. I used hummus instead of pesto and that turned out well.

OREO® Triple Layer Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I made this 6 hours before we ate it and when I went to cut it, it was sloppy. The next day it was better, but still not like the picture. However, the flavor was amazing. It was like some brownie or something. I used chocolate filled generic Oreos and it was a chocolate lovers dream. I also sprinkled some cookie crumbs on top of the pie. Yum.

Spinach-Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I don't really know how to rate this. The flavor was good- interesting- but good. It would have been VERY helpful to know what size casserole dish to put this in. The ones I had were all either too small or too big. I used a 9x13 and the casserole filled it a little over halfway.

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
Ridiculously fattening, but my Thanksgiving guests all raved. It was the best mashed potatoes they'd ever had. It's a fabulous "once in a while" dish, but the amount of fattening ingredients would keep me from making this regularly.

Honey Baked Apples

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2007
I don't know if I'm just too dumb for this recipe or what... I read somewhere that if you plan to reheat baked apples you shouldn't cook them the full time or they'll be disgustingly mushy. SO I cooked these for about 45-50 mins. They looked great. I heated one up in the microwave and it was wierd... The skin refused to come off or be cut and I ended up stabbing the thing with a grapefruit spoon and biting it like that. The taste was great, but it was really messy and dumb looking the way we had to eat it. It's probably my fault, but I don't know what the dea was...

Mom's Turkey Sausage Patties

The taste was great, but the texture was off. That outside was perfect but the inside fel apart in my mouth unlike sausage patties I've had in the past. I wonder if I did something wrong...
