About this Cook
Born and raised in southern California, wouldn't live anywhere else, except maybe Hawaii.
My favorite things to cook
I love desserts, pasta, anything homemade I don't use store bought sauces or pre-mixed,pre-packaged anything. Try to always go organic, and go to the Farmers Market every week
My favorite family cooking traditions
I am a vegetarian, living with a carnivore so it's tricky. I usually end up making seperate meals. One of the reasons, I love this site. I think my lasagna is a family tradition it takes all day but worth it.
My cooking triumphs
I am still trying to perfect a chocolate souffle.
My cooking tragedies
Flourless chocolate cake I've made it twice with horrible results. On the lookout for amazing chocolate chip cookies mine never turn out that great. I cannot master the slowcooker I received for christmas. My rice is always mushy.

Chicken Rice Skillet
Easy and flavorful. I omitted mushrooms and water added crushed red pepper and my husband loved it. Thank you for a great recipe.

Pumpkin Cheese Bread II
I had to double the cake batter recipe and should have doubled the cream cheese filling. I don't know how there was enough batter for 2 loaves. Next time I will try the bundt cake pan. It was just okay.

Fresh Green Chile Quiche
I made this for dinner and it turned out great.Based on the other reviewers I omitted the feta, used chedder and Jack cheese only, added garlic to the onion and a little cayenne. Thank you for a wonderful recipe.
