About this Cook
I love to cook and watch cooking shows on TV. DH also loves to cook and makes dinner almost every night!(I an so lucky!) With a little one at home, I am thinking I might rather cook dinner than watch him too... We had 3 boys ages 10-2 and the 10yo is a picky eater. We have gotten to the point where the kids get what we eat and even if they hate it (which they usually do) that is dinner. I do not run a restaurant!
My favorite things to cook
Dessert! I love to bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cookies at Christmas!
My cooking triumphs
We are in a "gourmet" club with 2 other couples so people know we love to cook. Someday I hope to have a professional kitchen...
My cooking tragedies
The first time I made mac & cheese in a ob (30 years ago...), I didn't read the "drain" part so it was soupy! When my oldest did the same thing, I had to laugh to myself...

Homemade Pancake Syrup
I changed nothing and the kids prefer this to the stuff I used to buy so I always make it now! I have doubled this and there was no difference. I have already made it three times and I expect to make it again tomorrow.

Marshmallow Crispie Bars
I made this twice. The first time, following another reviewers suggestion, I added more cereal and it was way too dry, but the second time, I followed the recipe exactly and it was amazing!!! The vanilla is the key to making it extra special!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
These cookies tasted AMAZING. I was looking for a recipe that stayed a little sharper on the edges after being cut out, so I could at least pretend they were professional cookies and these spread a little too much for that. I tried to use a cupcake cookie cutter and the kids thought they were houses. But, like I said, they tasted wonderful! If I was doing just round cookies, these would be it!
