Cabbage Roll Casserole
About this Cook
I am a mother of 3 all under 5. I have very little time for myself and stay very busy. If they gave out gold medals for organization... I would NOT get one. I would love to get more organized, not only in the kitchen but the whole house and start trying new recipes. I am looking on here to help with that.
My favorite things to cook
Chocolate gravy and biscuits for breakfast for me and the kids (dad prefers sausage gravy). I am also interested in finding a good recipe for pizza crust and guacamole dip.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chicken and dumplins are a family tradition and I love my mom's recipe.
My cooking triumphs
Well, I will have to get back to you on this one.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to list on here! HAHA - however that's been quite a while ago, thank goodness!

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust
This pizza crust recipe was fantastic! I tried it for the first time when my son had a play date after school that was staying for supper. I made the dough, but only had time to let it rise for about 1/2 hour. It still turned out great. There was a lot of dough! I let the kids (4 of them) each make their own pizza's and baked them on a pizza stone. We did roll out the dough, but it was not like cardboard. It still rose while it cooked and tasted great. The rest of the dough I rolled out to somewhat of a rectangle and place it on a large cookie sheet, spreading the dough to the edges. Topped with sauce and toppings and baked. This was the best home made pizza I have ever made! I will definitely use this again and let the kids make their own pizza's this way instead of using canned biscuits covered with flour and rolled out. It just tastes much better. Just prepare for the time it has to rise when you start to make it! My error, but I can't wait to make it again! : ) Thanks for submitting!

Caramel Apples
I made this recipe twice. The first time I barely had enough carmel to cover 5 medium size apples. The second time I had too much. The first batch I made I let the carmel cool off a bit before I started covering the apples too. The second time I started it after I got the carmel out and mixed well. Either way - they came out great. I can't wait to try some of the suggestions for "decorating" them after coating them.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff
WOW - How easy was that! I did it a little different to make it go a little further, per my sister's advice. I just cooked the chicken as stated, before adding other ingredients, I removed chicken, shredded it with 2 forks and removed any fat that was still on it. After I added the other ingredients to the slow cooker and mixed them up well, I stirred the shredded chicken back into the mix. I also added my cooked bow tie pasta at the same time. So very yummy. Thank you for sharing.
