Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Almost but not quite the same flavor as make that same day taters, but not that different plus I enjoyed having one less thing to stress about on turkey day to make and to enjoy my guest. No complaints from the guests and they were devoured. I did add a bit of cream and butter right before baking based on other suggestions. Were nice and creamy!

Freezer Caramel Drizzle Pie

It actually took more than 24 hours for it to solidfy. I made this for my 4th grade students and it was a hit. It was easy peasy to make too!

Chicken Wellington Casserole

This is one of the reviews where I changed a lot around to meet our needs.First, it was too bland so I added a lot of garlic. I also make a similar recipe but it also has red bell pepper and celery. I added these also as I like to have lots of veggies in stuff and it added more color. I wrapped them in individual pockets as suggested by a previous poster. Final change was to add the cream cheese to the skillet while still warm since so many commented it was so thick. They came out perfect, not too runny, not too thick and held together well during baking. It did take about 25 minutes to brown evenly

The Best Potato Salad

Perfect, not too mustardy nor swimming in mayo either. I used a touch less salt than called for.Tasted much better with the peppercorni and letting sit overnight. Was out of celery seed so used fresh diced celery and was not too crunchy.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

My college kid who works at BW3's (a wing place)as a cook said these were even better than what he makes there. Nice and crispy crust. I did add more hot sauce and used Franks brand.

Three-Meat Stromboli

I'm tried other stromboli recipes using canned dough and there is no comparision vs using this recipe. We also prefer that it has no tomato sauce in it like other recipes. Would be great for a large gathering. I mix and match the meats and have tried sausage and other cheeses too. Very versatile and easy to follow and comes out great. The more I make it I am more experienced in making hte jelly roll tighter which I think leads to a better stromboli. I use spices from my garden and that gives it an extra oomph and more visual appeal I think.

Pita Chips

Family went nuts about these. Extra yummy while still warm. I played a bit with the ingredients and added paprika, changed garlic salt to powdered garlic and kosher salt. We preferred them thinner vs thick so sliced them further down than originally posted in directions. Excellent! Have since played a bit with these and use like croutons in salad. Make Mexican flavored (dried cilantro, cumin ) for taco salad and have used with the super gyro steak salad recipe on here. I cut in thin strips before baking. Absolutely look wonderful on salad as a crunchy garnish. Of course, we still make often as above for hummus dip.
