I am 23, live in South Florida, and I love to cook. I love the sounds of approval whenever friends and family eat something i've cooked. I am married and have a 6 year old daughter. Finding meals she'll eat has been my biggest cooking challenge, but i'm successful most of the time.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything italian (kind of in the genes). My favorite dish to make is short ribs italian style or ox tail. I'll try to cook anything once. I've also learned how to make Latin food, Jamaican food, and combo of Chinese and Jamaican (hubby is a combo of all 3 with some Italian thrown in).
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking for Thanksgiving. My favorite tradition for this holiday is going to Doris's first thing in the morning to get fresh bread, rice balls, desserts, and breakfast which is usually cannolis and Manhattan Specials.
My cooking triumphs
My biggest triumph would have to be learning to make whole roasts. I was always afraid to try, but have learned it's the easiest meal to make. I always marinade it over night and then cook it low all day.
My cooking tragedies
Not to many tragedies, but the one that comes to mind was learning to make rice, I lost quite a few pots!
