Strawberry/Rhubarb Crumb Pie

This is one tasty pie! I used about 1/2 of sugar and found it sweet enough. I've tinkered around with cutting back on the butter for the topping and found that using about 6 TBSP is best.

Jalapeno Corn Bread

I decreased the sugar by 2 TBSP. I added a TBSP of lemon juice to a cup of milk (and let it sit for 5 or so minutes) to make buttermilk, and baked it in a cast iron skillet. I've also made this without the jalapeños and its good.

Dad's Favorite Peanut Butter Cookies

Tracy's Tomato Artichoke Rice Salad

I made a few changes, I used orzo instead of rice and halved cherry tomatoes. The salad is definitely better if its refrigerated overnight. If I made this again I'd add Parmesan cheese for some extra flavor.

I used plain yogurt instead of vanilla and almond extract instead of vanilla. I'm not sure it would have made a huge difference in the flavor, the fennel good in the bread. I'm going to try this toasted tomorrow.

I omitted the lemon zest but it didn't seem like it mattered, I also used frozen blueberries and the muffins were great. I think these would be good without the streusel.

Emily's Famous Apple Pie

8 apples were way too many, I cut up 6 and still had too many to fit into a 9 inch deep dish pie crust. I tossed the apples with the sugar/spice mix rather than layering. I would recommend baking the pie on a cookie sheet to keep your oven clean from bubbling sugary liquid.

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

I made these in the oven (350 degrees for one hour) and decreased the amount of ham (used 1/2 cup). I filled the cream of mushroom can with milk in place of water. This was great and really easy to throw together.

Fudge Brownies I

I used only 2 eggs and increased the chocolate to 6 oz as suggested by other reviews. The brownies were nice and fudgy but pretty greasy. No one seemed to mind and they were eaten up quickly.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Awesome! I made these without a bread machine and refrigerated the shaped rolls overnight before baking them in the morning. I used brown sugar instead of white. The dough was easy to work with and the rolls tasted and looked great.

Peanut Butter Brownies I

I made changes to the recipes based on a previous review's suggestions: substituted cocoa powder for half of the flour, chocolate chips instead of peanuts and reduced the baking powder to 1/2 tsp. These were good, not great.
