Sorry but this was just okay. It wasn't that great but it tasted good.

Cranberry Pumpkin Bread

Kind of blah. I used 2 eggs and added 1/4 cup more sugar. The texture was also a little weird.

Cranberry Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
Just okay. My bars wouldn't hold together, less like a bar and more like a crumble or crisp. I used Orange Cake Mix which made a nice flavor combination though.

Halloween Popcorn Pumpkins

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
TIP: put popcorn in a brown paper lunch bag (no oil necessary) and microwave it. This is healthier than the chemical kind you buy. It is also easier than shaking a pan on the stove. Once popped, Tear a small hole in one corner of the brown bag and shake your popcorn over the trash can to get the unpopped kernels to fall out.

Blueberry Crisp II

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2008
SORRY but this was more like a cobbler than a crisp. My topping was not crisp but kind of doughy / bready. I will use COLD margarine or butter next time.

Strawberry Cake II

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
EXCELLENT CAKE. I made a few adjustments, used strawberry cake mix for example. Very good. I had to use smart balance spread because I ran out of butter and it was still great.

Peanut Butter Noodles

DELICIOUS! We didn't have udon noodles or chili paste. So I used chinese egg noodles (the kind they use for pan frying) and just added red pepper flakes for the heat. VERY TASTY . Thank you.

Creamy Orange Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2008
VERY GOOD except for the gloppy icing. The recipe was follwed exactly and the icing turned out too thin and too much like pudding. I had to leave it off and made a butter cream icing with orange extract. Then it was perfectly delicious.

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
OUTSTANDING. Forget the cornflakes or dried bread crumbs. CRACKERS made this chicken so crispy and golden. I did use olive oil to pan fry and added cayenne pepper to the dry mix. ONE OF THE BEST uncomplicated FRIED CHICKEN RECIPES OUT THERE.

Southern Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
OUTSTANDING. We've tried many fried chicken coatings and this is one of the best. Chicken got really golden brown and crispy. I did soak chicken in ice salt water before hand for 30 minutes and used Olive oil to pan fry. Also added more cayenne pepper to mix. THANKS

Crispy Orange Beef

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
Maybe I did something wrong but it was WAY TOO SWEET even after reducing the sugar. Beef was not crispy even after waiting all that extra time (30 min in fridge and 10 min in cornstarch)

VERY GOOD. But my crust got soggy. I used an oreo crust. Maybe that's why. Wish I knew how to keep it crispy.

Not as good as I thought it would be. I'd prefer mint chocolate ice cream as the filler instead.

Key Lime Pie VIII

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
WOW delicious! I did change a few things: I used 1/2 cup lime juice, 2/3 cup milk, vanilla pudding, 1/2 container cool whip and zest. It didn't fill the pie shell so I added a topping: 1/3 cup lite sour cream, tbsp lime juice and zest. It was a bit different but still VERY GOOD. Good frozen the next day too.

Coconut Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
VERY GOOD. not like the eggy pudding type coconut pies from the store. THis was a cross between a pecan pie consistencywise and a coconut pie. I did change a few things: subbed 1 cup coconut milk for milk, toasted my coconut first and left out the vanilla. I also used a jiffy pie crust mix. Other than that the only change I would make is to cut a bit down on the sugar.

Fresh Cherry Cobbler

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
Sorry but we definitely did NOT like this. The cherries did not cook through even after cooking it 10 minutes extra. They were a weird texture, almost like grapes. I cut the butter down by half and it was still WAY TO GREASY... a spongey bland cake swimming in butter with half cooked cherries. I prefer a crisp or a crumble over this anyday.

Easy Lasagna I

The regular lasagne noodles didn't cook well without boiling. I added more liquid to the dish and they did cook most of the way but tasted somewhat starching. Otherwise tasty.
