Bell Pepper Rice
im wacky, but im a Good Cook!
About this Cook
I am single-ish 34 year old mother of 5. I the kids grew up with a career mom and take out. Now, im a live at home with a kitchen aid mixer and a crock pot!
My favorite things to cook
I love baking, breads, cakes, cookies, pastas, meats, vegetables, o geez, i guess everything! everytime that oven closes, magic happens when it opens!
My favorite family cooking traditions
The little ones Latessa 8 & Brocky (mommas boy)6, beleive there is a genie in moms oven. "he makes the food taste good!" So they sit and watch the timer ont he oven for me so i dont burn anything.
My cooking triumphs
My daughter won an award at school for taping an "episode" with me cooking for the kids. It was more of a comedy, and a hit! We plan to do more!
My cooking tragedies
I made a Black magic chocolate cake, but instead of using a 9x13 pan, i used 2 small aluminum bread pans.. thinking i was going to make a butt kickin layer cake for the kids. It over flowed. So i rescued the idea and made a chocolate lava icecream dish.

No-Fuss Rice Pudding
This is the most popular dessert in our family. The little ones get it before bed to fill their tummies for a full nights sleep. But be careful not to use DAY OLD rice. Rice has a natural bacteria that survives the cooking process. The longer it is left a room temperature, the more it multiplies. The result is BAD food poisoning up and down. Refrigerate as soon as possible after serving, and only keep in fridge up to a day.
