About this Cook
I've been cooking/baking since I was 9 years old. I was a strange kid who spent a lot of time indoors and inside my kitchen. As I grew older and began to live alone I didnt cook as much, mainly due to time issues and the lack of an audience. I miss it though, which is why I am here to find new recipes and just refocus my attention to one of my favortie things, food and sharing food with people.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake, I love pastas, I love anything with sauce, lol. I dont really have a favorite thing to cook. People always tell me my food is really good, but I can always find an area on which I can improve, so I don't feel like I'm this grand cook or anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving and the occasional Sunday dinners always bring back fond memories. Everyone getting together over a meal is always nice.
My cooking triumphs
Mastering the clone of a cinnabun recipe, I swear noone knows the difference. :)
My cooking tragedies
I've burned a few things, not let a few loaves of bread rise enough, and countless other tragedies. I just say learn from past mistakes, its only food and you can always start again.

Honeyed Pork Chops
Excellent! Added a bit more honey as other users suggested and it was a big hit. I also added onions and red/green peppers for visual effects and served over rice. Will definitely make again.

Rosemary Chicken with Orange-Maple Glaze
Great Recipe. I didn't follow it exactly, due to what I had on hand. I substituted apple juice for the wine, and basil for the rosemary and it still came out delicious. Can't wait to try it again with the correct ingredients.

Caribbean Pasta with Shrimp
It wasnt the flavor I was looking for at all. I wanted a more tangy sweet and spicy, and for me it was just a weird flavor. I didnt follow the recipe exactly, i didnt have shallots or green pepper, but i dont think those would of made me like this. It was edible, just wasnt great.
