About this Cook
I'm a single mom who's always in the kitchen and loves preparing meals for my friends and family. I'm always looking for new, fun, tasty recipes.
My favorite things to cook
Savory foods are definitely my passion. Everything Italian. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but like experimenting.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mom's cakes, Thanksgiving Turkey, and breakfast for dinner.
My cooking triumphs
I make a darn good Chicken or Turkey Soup. I'm not much of a recipe follower, which I think is great for expanding my recipe box.
My cooking tragedies
Baking is not my best cooking talent. I can make a good pie, if my mom makes a crust for me. Don't get me wrong, I would never make a cake from a box, I'd just skip the desert all together.

Korean Marinade
Wow, wow, wow!!! Made this for one of my weekly "friends" dinners, everyone loved it. I marinated strips of Sirloin for stir-fry for 8 hours or so, added some sliced red peppers, onions, baby corn, and water chestnuts and served it over rice. I added fresh ginger (because I use any excuse to use ginger). My only regret was not making more for leftovers. Thanks for the recipe, can't wait to try it on loin chops for the grill...

Pork Roast with Thyme
Excellent dish... I've made it several times, just as written. Yummy way to do up a roast!

Seven Layer Dip
Yummy!! Made this for a party and it was gone soooo fast. Now whenever I say I'll bring something, they all say how about that mexican dip you made...
