I am the mother of 2 grown boys and the wife of a man who loves to eat! This year is our 30th wedding anniversary. I am an artist and photographer, I love to draw, especially still life. I also do needlepoint, just to relax in the evening with a cup or two of green tea.
My favorite things to cook
I will cook anything with leftovers in the fridge. My favorites still lean toward the Italian dishes as well as the Mexican foods, but I adapt everything to what I can and can't eat. I can't eat salt, not too many carbs and not too much sugar.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Unfortunately, my kids are very picky so I let them eat what they want, usually pizza and poutine (from Quebec)! But my youngest will cook what I make.
My cooking triumphs
Homemade pizzas, fish dishes(Salmon and Talapia), and Chicken. My husband takes care of the Beef dishes, I don`t like beef very much! In my family I am known as the "Pastry Chef". I love all pastries and will go out of my way to cook them for my family, but my Lemon Merangue Pies and Key Lime Pies.
