I am retired, so I don't cook as much as I once did I like to try new dishes that aren't loaded with cholesterol, but that are still good. I like to try new recipes. The traditions are gone with the children. I don't have many triumphs...my children still beg for me to cook chimichangas for them. In fact, before my mother died I use to cook them for her and freeze them where she could have one whenever she wished. She would ask "When are you going to make some more Banga-Bangas"...I guess this was a triumph, as she was a great cook. Everytime I make a pineapple pound cake that I have a recipe for...it runs over. I don't know if I overbeat it or what. The cake is delicious, even though I always have a problem with it.
