Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
Very yummy. I thought I might be too chocolately because of the chocolate milk but you don't even know it's in there. I sprinkled them with powdered sugar. I didn't do the bananas and strawberries although I'm sure it's yummy that way. Definately next time.

Chicken and Peppers with Balsamic Vinegar

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
This was pretty good. My family really enjoyed this but I was expecting more flavor and I added crushed red pepper along with salt and black pepper. I guess I was hoping for a little more kick. Served with white rice. I would make it again and add more something. Not sure what though.

Turkey Pot Pie II

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
I had some left over turkey from Thanksgiving and decided to make this pie. At the top of the recipe it states that you can assemble it and freeze to bake at a later time so that's what I decided to do. So I decided to bake it today. There were no instructions included as to how to bake once frozen. I wasn't sure what to do whether I should thaw it or cook frozen. I asked the question twice on the recipe exchange and although some people were kind enough to respond there was no definative answer. I decided to do it frozen at 400 degrees. I took two hours to cook and probably could have gone longer but my family was complaining that they were wasting away and needed to eat. I would say it probably could have gone another 20 minutes to a half hour because the bottom crust was a little gummy still. Was it worth the two hour wait? No but it was tasty and I would make it again but I would bake it right away. I would never freeze again.

Garlic Cheese Chicken Rollups

Very good. I used the Alouette Garlic and Herb Cheese spread and used Panko bread crumbs. Served it with rice pilaf and green beans. Very yummy.

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
This was very good. I did saute onion and garlic in the butter before adding the flour. I also added black pepper as well. As someone else suggested I added more cheese and topped it with Italian seasoned bread crumbs which added a nice crunchy crust on top. A good way to use up left over turkey.

Pretty good. My family and I enjoyed this pizza. I did use the Boboli crust and added mozzarella cheese along with the Parmesan. Would definately make this again.

Strawberry Torte

This is really good. I usually use the soft ladyfingers if I can find them instead of the hard ones. I also usually just use a can of strawberry pie filling for the topping instead of using the frozen kind. Also great with blueberry or peach pie filling

My parents liked them. Personally I don't like toasted pumpkin seeds but the flavor was good. Not salty in my opinion

Love it. I threw some sliced jalapenos an extra cheese on them. Almost ate the whole plate myself.

Turkey Minestrone

This soup was good. My family enjoyed it. I personally didn't like the Turkey Sausage. I think next time I will double the ground turkey and leave out the sausage. This makes a lot of soup.

Chicken BLT Sandwich

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
I know, why would you need a recipe for this? It does make a really good sandwich that my family and I love. It came together with just simple ingredients that I had at home and needed to throw together something for a quick week night meal. Really close to the chicken sandwich from a local restaurant that I liked.

chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
Just wanted to share this recipe with everyone. My mom used to make these for us when I was a kid. I just recently came across the recipe and made them for work and everyone flipped over them. So by request I will be making them for the Christmas pot luck at work. What could be better than cream cheese and chocolate? Hope you give it a try and enjoy it as much as we do.

3-Cheese Pasta Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
This was very good. My family really enjoyed it. I did sub Cheddar Cheese Soup for the Cream of Mushroom and I used a blend of Colby and Monteray Jack Cheese. I would definately use the Cheddar Cheese soup again but I think I would use a different blend of cheeses next time. Very creamy and cheesy. Perfect comfort food.

Cheesy Meatball Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
Very good soup although my meatballs didn't hold their shape for some reason. I think my mixture was too wet. Next time I don't think I'll bother with making meatballs, I'll just brown the ground beef. I did use a block of velveeta instead of cheese whiz. My family really enjoyed it. Makes a nice hearty soup.

Lorraine's Club Sandwich

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
You would think it's crazy to have a recipe for a club sandwich. Like who doesn't know how to throw a sandwich together but it reminded me how long it's been since I had one. So I made this sandwich and my family went crazy. I added cheese, onion and lettuce to them. I put thousand Island dressing on mine and it was awesome. I served it with potato chips and it was so good. Something so simple made everyone so happy. Great for a quick supper.

Different Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
This was really good. I did make a couple of changes though. Sent my husband to the store to get Swiss cheese and he came back with Provolone but it turned out well. I also subbed seasoned Panko bread crumbs for the stuffing. It did somewhat remind me of the coating you would get with the regular Cordon Bleu that you would roll up and fry. I would definately use the Provolone cheese and the Panko crumbs again. Sauce was really good too.
