I'm a high school math teacher in Brooklyn, NY. I enjoy reading, cooking, and traveling.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite thing to cook is chocolate chip cookies!!!
My cooking triumphs
I am learning to cook Indian food because my fiance is from India. It isn't easy, but I am learning more every day!
My cooking tragedies
Some of my attempts at cooking Indian food have not been so successful. They have ended in tears on my part and my fiance eating meals that didn't taste so good!

Perfect Pumpkin Pie
This was an easy and delicious pie. As recommended by another reviewer, I heated the pumpkin, spices, and salt over low heat. I set the mixture aside and let it cool before whisking in the condensed milk and egg. I served it while it was still warm with some whipped cream and it was great!

Sweet Potato Casserole II
This was amazing! I baked the sweet potatoes rather than boiling them. I halved the OJ. I used 1.5 tsps cinnamon and pinch of nutmeg. I also used real butter (it was a holiday after all). This was a treat! Thanks for the recipe. Just like my grandmother used to make.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing
This was indeed awesome! Like others, I skipped the liver, used fresh herbs (doubled amount), and baked outside the bird. It was delicious! I also used craisins and about 6 cups of gf bread. This was the best stuffing. I will definitely make it again.
