About this Cook
26 year old Montrealer who wants to learn how to cook!
My favorite things to cook
Cookies!!!!!!!!
My cooking triumphs
I've made bread for my roommates and family and they loved it! My roommate, Olivier, really loves my cornbread. It's kinda pathetic, really.
My cooking tragedies
I was trying to make cookies. Instead of putting in 3/4 of a teaspoon of baking powder, I put 3/4 of a cup!!!!! I was wondering why my cookies were kinda grey and why my tongue was all tingly from the paste..........I'm so dumb........

Chewiest Brownies
REALLY GOOD!! Chewy and all. Last time I made some the ends were a bit dry but I spread it a bit too much(thinned) and my non-stick pan is too big for the recipe(I didn't have enough butter to double it...). I'm making another batch right now and I'm going to add a couple of chocolate chips on them for a simple chocolate frosting. My boyfriend loves them(and he's pretty picky! :P

Quick Biscuits
I just made these(at 1 A.M.!!) and they're very good but I think next time I'll add a bit of cheddar cheese or herbs to add a bit of flavor to it. I made the recipe with the flour substitution AND evaporated milk instead of heavy cream(as stated on this website as being a substitution for it) and worked out nice!! Will be doing this again! P.S. I cut and rolled the dough with a tall drinking glass(my grandmother used to do this): about half of an inch and the size and thickness was perfect(exactly like the picture).

Bannock II
I wanted to try this recipe since it's rather inexpensive and easy. Forgot to add the salt so came out a bit bland but put a bit of butter on them when they were still warm and turned out pretty good. Tasted like biscuits or at least, like the "biscuits" I had tried when I was a child. Will make them again but only when I'm broke.
