My cooking tragedies
The day my oven would not bake but could broil. Thanksgiving 1980. Every twenty minutes I would turn on broiler for 4 minutes and then off for the next 16 minutes. A twenty pound turkey took 6 hours to cook. The breast was terrible, but the thighs came out great as did the stuffing. Ten people did not eat much turkey that day, smoke almost turned them away.
