Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Made these as is. Baked in what's called a half sheet pan (I think it's 18x13) because I didn't have the 10x15 it calls for. This way they are thinner and more like bars. Only problem was I had to double the frosting recipe to cover the whole pan. But these are great AS IS. Don't know why people have to severely change the recipe! Yummy!

Baked Beans II

Loved loved loved it. I agree that the sauce was a little thin, but I served this with a ham steak so we soaked up that extra sauce with the ham! YUMMY! Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Caramel Bars

These really were lovely. I too doubled the crust recipe and used 1 C of melted butter and am very glad I did. I can't really imagine having only half of that crust! I sort of lightly pressed the top crust on top of the caramel. Had to cut off the ends where the caramel seeped out and got sort of burnt/crunchy. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

Overnight Coffee Cake

I don't believe this is the ultimate coffee cake recipe, however, it was very good. I added a little cinnamon to the cake part. I was disappointed to see that the brown sugar topping came off the cake during cutting. If I made it again, I might make more of a streusel topping instead. Icing was good. I added a little vanilla and almond extracts to it for extra flavor.

Jalapeno Chicken II

I cut recipe in half. I also threw in a handful of shredded mexican cheese blend, garlic, and salt to the cream cheese mixture. I baked in oven at 400 for maybe twenty minutes. Very good.

Lemon Square Bars

I had a bag of lemons going to waste so I thought-why not? So glad I did! They taste so fresh and yummy. I zested two lemons into the crust just for extra lemon essence. My one issue was determining when they were done-in my oven they were brown on top after 20 minutes but turned out the filling wasn't set in the middle after. Watch carefully. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

My guests liked it but I choked it down. The taste is WAY too much like cocoa. I think an icing made with actual chocolate would be much tastier. On the plus side, the spreading consistency was great.

Seven Layer Gelatin Salad

Everyone liked it. I only used two flavors because my party colors were all pink and green, so I used strawberry and lime. The trifle dish I used was HUGE so mine ended up being eight gelatin layers plus the whipped topping. Not at all fun to make, took an entire day as my layers were not close to set after 45 minutes, it took more like one hour plus. Thanks for the recipe.

Chocolate Pound Cake III

I am a novice cake maker and have no explanation for why this cake tasted bad and not like a pound cake, fell in the oven, and completely broke apart coming out of the pan. Extremely disappointed.

Carrot Cake III

With 1,000+ plus good reviews, does it really need to be said?! Absolutely wonderful. Only thing I changed was adding 1/2 tsp of cloves for some extra oomph. Left out nuts because I don't like them. AMAZING! Thanks for sharing!

Buffalo Chicken Rolls

Thought it was wonderful, and didn't change much. Didn't bother to mess around with rolling it up. I just pounded the breasts slightly, and after marinading, baked in the oven with a probe thermometer to 150. Took out, added mozzarella baked it until it was 170. So good with ranch dressing. Thought it had plenty of flavor.

Buttercream Icing

The shortening does wonderful things in good and tasty sturdy icing. This is my absolute go-to recipe. I've used it for cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. Wonderful every time. Tastes amazing. Thank you for this recipe!

Sounds funny but I used my bread machine on the dough setting to do all the kneading, lol. I didn't change in any way, just used the Wilton gels to add different colors.
