World's Best Pasta Sauce!

Reviewed: May 2, 2007
Made this recipe as written, except used 3/4 pound italian sausage -- that seemed like enough. Husband, who's a big fan of meat sauce, said it was a keeper.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

I doubled this in a 9x13 pan for an extended family dinner. Worked well with reduced fat sour cream, and took a little longer than 45 minutes with the large pan. Absolutely wonderful!

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2007
These got raves at an extended family dinner, and really made things easy -- no last minute "mash 'em and get the potatoes to the table before they get cold." I did use a little less sour cream, and half the onion powder, as some reviewers said the taste was overpowering. After refrigerating, I did whip with some 2% milk to make them light and fluffy before baking. Yummy!

Side of the Trail Cookies

My kids (7 and 4) loved these as after school snacks -- and the oatmeal made them substantial enough to fill them up. Even my husband, who isn't fond of peanut butter OR oatmeal, kept going back for more. I did add a few extra chocolate chips, and used a glass dipped in white sugar for flattening. YUM!

Sour Cream Noodle Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
I'm happy to find a "hamburger helper"-like recipe that doesn't use condensed cream soup. My kids love HH, but I can't eat it because of the MSG. This recipe was great, but I made a few changes. Used no butter, less salt, used garlic powder instead of garlic salt (and more of it), more pepper. Substituted white onion sauteed with the beef for the green onion, fewer noodles -- and used whole wheat rotini. We loved it this way. Just what we were looking for!
