About this Cook
I have always enjoyed cooking but now that my 3 sons are all big healthy teenagers with huge appites, I seem to enjoy it more. We love to go camping and I have always cooked full meals while camping too. Of course the kids are all football players and two have just joined the military. Oldest is going into Linguists in the Airforce and middle one has joined the Navy Nuclear Program and will go in after he graduates this year in September. Youngest has two more years of High School and football!!
My favorite things to cook
home made breads, cookies and other deserts for the football team that I do every week for both the JV and the Varsity teams for football season.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving dinner and or Christmas dinner with all the family. My husband has three married daughters from his first marriage and I have three sons from mine, one of which is married. Love it when all get together. Now that is a feast. Of course the kids birthdays are awesome too as they get their choice of any meal they want and I will make it for them, including desert.
My cooking triumphs
Chocolate chip cookies...they are the best around! and the homemade breads I would have to say my kids love those...
My cooking tragedies
burning garlic bread in the broiler...it was not even toast it was so on fire...LOL

Monkey Bread V
so good but you have to eat right out of the oven or they get hard. I sprinkle a bit of butterscotch pudding mix on the bottom of the bundt pan before I add the dough and made with real butter helps the brown sugar to carmelize...family loves it

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls
These rolls are amazing...although it always takes me more than 90 minutes to make them. I also found that using real butter through out the recipe is much better than margarine. Also I make a frosting with 1/2cup butter softened 3 oz cream cheese, 1/2 tsp vanillia, pinch of salt and 1 /12 cups powered sugar. Mix that all together and spread over hot out of the oven rolls...man o man they are amazing.
