My daughter and I
The Baker Chef
About this Cook
I am 25 years old and next year im turning 25 again! i refuse to continue to age...at least until i turn 35 and then i will really be 30...does my math make any sense to anybody else but me?
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! i love making desserts! and after i make all these delicious treats i send them all away to my husbands squadron. i am a diabetic who loves to bake cookies cakes and pies...go figure...i make them but dont eat them.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I LOVE THANKSGIVING!!! mainly it is because i get to cook for a week and watch it all disappear within a few hours, and then after all of its gone i hear, "man that was good!" thats what i love THE BEST!!!
My cooking triumphs
i have perfected banana nut bread! my mom has a recipe for it that she has been making ever since i can remember and i always thought it was perfect, but i tweaked it and well it came out absolutely WONDERFUL!!!! im not saying that my mothers is not good but i think that i have actually made one that is just a little bit better. i also make a kick butt Mexican Flan! no ones is better! and you are not going to get what i make out of a BOX!
My cooking tragedies
i still have not been able to make a mexxican nino envuelto (wrapped baby)it really is a good dessert just has an off the wall name...but the stinkin' cake has never successfully made it out of my kitchen without meeting the trash can first! I WILL BEAT THAT CAKE EVENTUALLY!

Southern Peach Cobbler
this cobbler was absolutely fantastic...of course i love cinnamon and added just about 1/4 tsp more to each part of the recipe than what it asked....the top of my cobbler did start to turn a little TO brown before the rest of it was cooked through so i had to cover it with tin foil to stop it from browning anymore than it already had...i would check the cobbler at 20 minutes if you are baking at the temperature that the recipe asks, but the next timei prepare it i will be baking it at 375'F and hopefully wont have to cover it during half my baking time.
