I am 19 and love to bake and cook! I've been baking with my mom since I was very little, but got the bug when I learned the simple art of cooking pasta at about 12 years old. I have tons of favorite recipes but absolutely love diving into new ones whenever I get the chance. I'm studying business, but hope to take some culinary classes in the future. :) Italian! Mostly pasta dishes lol. I love simple recipes with just an easy sauce and herbs. My great aunt's chocolate pie, and my mom's mac & cheese and fudge. Mastering my mom's fudge when making it solo for the first time this summer. Also discovering one of my favorite recipes a couple years ago, apple coffee cake. A few years ago, I made biscuits for the local county fair (along with several other entries). I had overslept and made them in a rush the morning everything was due. Apparently, I grabbed the baking soda instead of the baking powder, but never new the difference until I was on my home from dropping off all my entries. I had thrown in some extras since I hadn't eaten breakfast, so on the way home I took a big bite and spit it back out before you could say "rat poisoning"! At least that's what my mom called it. I was horrified but it was too late. The next day I went back to see how my entries had done, and to my surprise, my biscuits got 2nd place! The judges had simply torn one apart and looked at it rather then tasted it! That was a lucky day for me lol.
